Behold the wax figure of Charles Manson, one of the most notorious criminals of the 20th century, whose story continues to generate controversy and fascination around the world.
Born in Cincinnati (United States) in 1934, Charles Manson’s childhood was marked by abandonment and juvenile delinquency. In the 1960s he formed a cult known as “The Manson Family” and directed his followers to commit several murders, including the brutal murder of actress Sharon Tate in 1969. Although he did not directly participate in the murders, he was convicted of being the instigator of the crimes, whereby becoming a symbol of the dark side of the 1960s counterculture movement. Manson spent the rest of his life in prison, where he continued to be a notoriously controversial figure. Interesting fact: he tried his hand at being a musician in Los Angeles before becoming a criminal.
